Why QR code is the best way to pay in Argentina
QR codes are how people pay in Argentina: hold up a phone, scan the code on the counter, done. Argentines pay with Mercado Pago, MODO, Ualá, Cuenta DNI and BNA+, and since the country's QR codes became interoperable, one code on the counter takes all of them. Cafés, kioscos, taxis, museums and market stalls show it, and because prices change often, paying the exact amount by scan beats carrying a stack of notes.
